Jill P. Smith, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Molecular Biology at the Penn State College of Medicine where she has been on faculty for 20 years. She is a physician in the Dept of Medicine and a practicing Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist (liver specialist) where she serves as a member of the Liver Transplant team at the Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Smith has a National reputation for her research in cancer and gastrointestinal disorders.
Jill, has been married to her husband Paul for almost 30 years. They have 4 wonderful children. She is an active member of the Camp Hill United Methodist Church where she plays with the worship band for the New Life Service. Additionally, she is in an outreach Christian musical ministry group called “The God Squad” that delivers messages on healing, restoration and breaking addictions to those in prisons, rehabilitation centers, and homeless missions.
She brings years of experience in dealing with those who are physically, mentally and emotionally ill and how to deal with medicine, science and Christianity in today’s world.
